Hadassah Curry was born in Red Bank, New Jersey and raised in Matawan, New Jersey, then currently resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Curry started filmmaking in 2012 and was a member of the Telecommunications club at Matawan Regional High School.

Award-winning Miss Blue Moon documentary short film has been screened in Canada, India, Florida, New Jersey, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orlando, Pittsburgh, and Atlanta. Miss Blue Moon has won Best Documentary Short in Toronto Independent Film Festival of Cift then was nominated for both Best Short Documentary in Kalakari Film Festival and Color’s of Love International Queer Film Festival. Miss Blue Moon was Semi-Finalist for the May 2021 San Francisco Indie Short Film Festival. Her short film BLM was screened at the 2020 Bright Ideas Film Festival in San Francisco, CA, 2020 Lift-Off Global Network: First-Time Filmmaker Festival in Iver, Buckinghamshire, UK. Another notable film by Curry is Dear Body short film that won Best Documentary in the Alternative Film Festival in Toronto this past April 2021. Curry also received a dual Bachelor of Arts degrees from Alderson Broaddus University majoring in Mass Communications and Public Relations, also has a double minor in Journalism and International Studies. She received her Master of Fine Arts in Film and Digital Technology at Chatham University. Curry currently works as Assistant Editor for Very Local Network owned by Hearst Corporation.
